Our program is deeply inspired by the timeless teachings and exemplary life of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. He dedicated his entire life to spreading the profound wisdom, pure devotion, and core values of India's spiritual heritage worldwide.
Born in 1896 in Calcutta, India, Srila Prabhupada demonstrated a lifelong commitment to preserving and sharing the ancient Vedic knowledge. In 1965, at the advanced age of 69, he traveled to the United States on a cargo ship, carrying only a few rupees and a trunk of his translated books. Over the next twelve years, despite his advanced age, he circled the globe fourteen times on lecture tours, bringing the teachings of Lord Krishna to millions.
Through his profound translations and commentaries on texts like the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam, he provided a clear, accessible path to spiritual realization for the modern age. His teachings emphasize the importance of character building, self-discipline, and dedicated service to others.
The Medha Samvardhan program incorporates these fundamental principles. We strive to instill the values of humility, integrity, and spiritual awareness in the youth, guiding them to lead balanced, purposeful, and fulfilling lives, just as Srila Prabhupada envisioned.
